A man who went missing on the Central Coast and has been missing ever since was not robbed – his family has confirmed.
David Joseph Ward has long wanted to return to Australia but has been held captive.
Mr Ward went missing while on holiday in Sydney’s north-west, a suburb of the city, where he says he had a girlfriend.
One of his friends took to social media last week to share what they thought had been a sighting of him after he had left for work. It was later realised it was a man who did not know Mr Ward and had been taken by thugs.
His parents, Jim and Sue Ward, have now offered a $20,000 reward for him safe return.
