The first thing that struck me about the top 40 lists was just how similar the lists were. They were much like a cross between some of the most popular magazines and popular blogs I follow, like Designers & Dragons, Daring Disc and The Stool Pigeon. This is a pretty solid mix, and I think will continue even after 2020. It’s not a surprise to learn that many of these lists are coming out in the year 2020.

One thing that researchers don’t agree on is exactly what ‘neuroprotective’ means in this context. For some, it means a simple ‘toxin’ to prevent damage. For others, it means a better functioning and more effective response to the symptoms of the disease. Either way, it comes down to what is considered by medical researchers to be a ‘strong’ case for the drug.
